Corby Kilns has been around since 1997, but Bob Aves
has been in the industry for many years, and is well known in the educational
sector. Julie Houghton is your first point of contact in the office. In
July 2005 we moved to our current workshop. This was because we had outgrown
our previous premises. Sales of both new and used kilns and equipment
had increased, and we then decided to sell clays and glazes. We now have
stocks of the best selling clays, and we can obtain anything from the
Potclays Ltd and Valentines Clays ranges.
Our main business is the service and repair of electric kilns, mostly in schools, colleges and universities, but also for the studio and hobby ceramicist, glassworker, bead maker and enameller/jewellery maker. The major kiln manufacturers have authorised us to be service agents. We buy and sell all secondhand equipment – please contact us if you have anything you would like to sell. We then refurbish the equipment as necessary, and can provide a three month warranty. If you move house, what do you do with your kiln? Contact us – we can disconnect, transport and reconnect. If you are looking for new equipment then we sell from the ranges of Potclays Kilns, Stanton Kilns, Kilns & Furnaces, Pottersmate, and Narbur Kilns. As part of our service we can deliver, install and provide full instruction in the use and care of the kiln and instrument. We have also branched out into the world of enamelling, and can supply the Uhlig and Narbur range of kilns. For £245 you can have an enamelling kiln complete with starter kit of enamels, tools and various accessories to get you on the way to enjoying this great craft. We are always pleased to hear from all you potters. If we can help in any way just contact us by telephone or fax on 01536 269229 or email. We look forward to being of service to you in the future, and if you are already a customer – well, thank you and we hope to hear from you again. Whatever your needs – just give us a try first. We may be a small company, but we always aim to give value for money |
