Sibelco Black Stoneware (Nigra 2005)
This is a deep black stoneware body that is suitable for high-fired stoneware. The clay vitrifies from 1200°C upwards. Supplied in a 10kg pack.
Contains 20% 0-0.5mm black grog
Ideal for modelling
Drying shrinkage 5.5%
Fired shrinkage at 1200c 7.6%
Water absorption at 1200c 3%
CTE 20-400: 6.8
CTE 20-500: 7.2
CTE 20-600: 8.2
Recommended firing 1000-1240c (approx. Cone 06 to 7)
