Botz 9352 Turquoise Crackle
Brush on glaze for earthenware, available in 200ml jars.
Turquoise transparent glossy crackle glaze. Apply in one coat only as it tends to run strongly. To prevent blisters forming it is recommended to bisque fire at 1000°C. Can show blisters on some sorts of clay when applied on both sides or all around. Crackles develop mostly after firing, sometimes taking up to a week. Slightly thicker applications on horizontal surfaces can produce interesting darker effects. If cracks do not develop try removing from the kiln at 100°C and quenching in cold water. Use inks, acrylic paints or even strong tea to enhance the crackles.
If the glaze has thickened up in the jar you can add water and stir well.
